How It Started
BrandStorm began at Natalie’s School of Performing Arts, where founder Ryna Dholakia was a piano student. After learning that the school relied largely on word of mouth and occasional flyers for outreach, she offered to manage its social media, something the owner struggled to balance alongside teaching, staffing, and running the business.
Within three months, the school’s content reached approximately 3,000 views and its following grew by 20%.
Recognizing that many local businesses faced similar marketing challenges, Ryna expanded the idea into BrandStorm and began working with businesses throughout Millburn–Short Hills. She later joined Explore Millburn–Short Hills as a social media intern, gaining further experience supporting local businesses and their marketing efforts.
Today, BrandStorm helps businesses build stronger digital presences through creative, strategic, and accessible social media marketing.
